A progressive company, the facility I worked at was a new build and new technology, lots of new to industry personnel from different backgrounds. I was given the time to build a successful team. The workforce at this company surpassed the expectation of the parent company in Denmark bay building more wind turbine blade in a week of high quality within a short time frame.
Potentially good job let down by weak and ineffective management, unnecessary stress when we're already hitting targets. Too much talk and too many fad campaigns that have nothing to do with the job. Lack of support, tools, equipment.
Long hours, short breaks.
Team leads and group leads bullied workers if they did not fit in and made it hard to progress One mistake and you made to feel it was all your fault when other areas should have taken some of the responsibility and not just all on one person
Often under pressure to get jobs finished on time with zero snags with a good safety culture to satisfy the client, working in harsh weather conditions on day and night shifts. Good team member and able to lead when needed.
worked in section were we had too prep thr blades prior too painting. so we had too sand then use filler then sand again and doing any repairs. good bunch of lads too work with. Management and team leaders very poor at there jobs. no support or motivation. and our team leader was not a leader at all.. too quiet and was never anywere too bd found.. when was supposed too be helping us all.. if you get a job at siemens hull..its not what u expect at all .. prepapre too bd shocked at how poor the job and place is run as a whole.
free fruit in canteen
terrible shift patterns
Multiskilled maintanence jobs from hanging a whiteboard to extending the 110mtr blade moulds The management where always calm and confident with a good approach to the staff There were no hard jobs as being prepared ie doing my own method statement risk assessments and regular toolbox talks The most enjoyable part of the job was making new friends and meeting different people it's a great company to work for
Had to plan, evaluate, prepare, talk, order the materials? carry out the method of work, identify the risks involved
Not enough hours i was contacted to 40 and wanted to work overtime/weekends but they wouldent
Fast paced manufacturing factory producing wind turbine blades. Great people to work with however management can put you under unnecessary pressure. The factory is still developing and can only improve. Pay is reasonable but overtime rates are not worth it.
free fruit in the canteen
12 hour shifts, horrendous shift pattern
