What you will do

At (Volvo Group Trucks Technology Powertrain) you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:


  • Secure, maintain and develop the product reliability feature knowledge over a longer time period for different brands, segments, market & applications;
  • Manage networks across the organization or globally within the reliability domain;
  • Develop, deploy and

    support reliability engineering material training.

Working on New Products development (project environment):


  • Translate the product targets into product requirements together with the project team;
  • Define requirements and verification methods in order to verify and validate the product feature level agreed on by the project description;
  • Secure effective verification & validation plans for product development through reliability engineering;
  • Develop and provide inputs for product reliability feature road-maps.


Working with running products in the field (maintenance environment):


  • Monitor product reliability evolution for distinct brands, segments and applications in the market where they operate;
  • Synchronize product reliability between current and new products;
  • Identify, address and monitor emerging and/or critical reliability items over time.


Your future team

within Product Development department inside Complete Powertrain area, with will work with colleagues from different backgrounds and roles such as project managers, product feature leaders, hardware leaders, product requirement engineers, product documentation engineers and interns. We are around 20 people working together in a very collaborative environment ready to welcome you on board!

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring:


  • Engineering master of Science degree;
  • Good communication and collaborative skills;
  • Good understanding of Powertrain systems;
  • Customer focus, instills trust and drive for results;
  • Several years of experience in automotive industry, preferably within product development, quality and/or verification in powertrain area;
  • Experience in using quality tools e.g. FMEA to identify different failure modes and mitigation actions, or RCA (Root Cause Analysis), or 8D process, etc...
  • Knowledge in reliability area;
  • Experience with requirement setting of components and systems;
  • Fluent in English, both written, spoken and listening.
