Head of Commercial - Brazil | Container Shipping
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Commercial to work for a leading international container shipping company in their operations in Brazil.
As the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Brazil's Sales, Marketing and Customer services functions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Growing Market Share and Revenue
- Manage the Sales and Customer service teams
- Travel to meet customers, develop business and support Sales Team
- Put into place standard operating procedures for the sales and customer service teams and ensure best practice
- Preparation of a monthly marketing report and analysis of cargo statistics
- Monitor and drive performance improvements
In addition, as the Head of Commercial, you will deputise for General Manager (Business Head in Brazil) and support in areas such as marine and cargo operations, Human Resources, Administration, Trade Management relationships, and Shareholder relationships.
Personal requirements:
- 10 - 15 years of trade or sales & marketing experience in container/liner shipping
- Previous experience as a Head of Commercial, Head of Sales, Sales Director, Business Development Director, or Sales General Manager is preferred
- A strong track record of growing market share and increasing revenue is a must
- General management experience and P/L exposure is advantageous
- Excellent understanding of equipment management, port & terminal operations
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English
