The Opportunity:

As the Market Access Manager for CSL’s Vifor business, you will develop and implement a Business Plan for the territory, incorporating all resources available to ensure CSL success. You will promote all company products and services within the specified territory. You will develop and implement strategic plans built together with 3M team. You will support and comply with duty of care obligations, in pharmacovigilance, medical information and compliance to the guidelines. This position is based in based in Belo Horizonte, and you must be able to travel to Minas Gerais and Bahia, up to 50% of the time.

The Role:

  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge especially clinical and health economics studies and customer knowledge at all times and participating in training programs as appropriate.
  • Work across both private HMOs and public sector other Healthcare related businesses/organizations as required.
  • Ensure full support and the best possible outcome for any submissions, and to follow up and respond to queries in a timely manner, until determination of outcome.
  • Optimize ability to gain fastest possible access for CSL priority products.
  • Identify, map, and prioritize key national and regional stakeholders and relevant decision makers to ensure optimal patient access to the product.
  • Nominate, and where appropriate, develop advocates for speaker meetings – attending national and international congress as appropriate.
  • Have a strategic analytical view of the health market to implement the access plan at HMOs and SESs.
  • Manage, develop, and implement market access strategies and tactics to access and retain CSL products in Brazil, demonstrating their therapeutic, economic, and social value using in-depth knowledge of the local environment.
  • Ensure the targeted delivery of payer engagement materials & tools, such as Value Propositions, Budget Impact Models, and other relevant resources.
  • Ensure that all administration tasks are completed, and deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge, expertise, and insight for assigned payers and payer systems (national and regional stakeholders).
  • Develop regional/account HTA/Market access submissions in the required regions that are aligned with Market Access strategy and in coordination with 3M team.
  • Provide input into the development and support of the brand value concept and contribute to develop the appropriate tools for the delivery of the brand value messages to market access stakeholders.
  • Analyze local access issues and opportunities, anticipating changes in the local healthcare landscape, and propose action plan as necessary.
  • Serve as point of contact with cross-functional partners to guide strategies and plans for broader and deeper market access engagement with KOLs, payer membership educations and other key constituents within CSL payer customer base.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Market Access Manager and/or corelated functions, in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Experience in Strategic Account Planning and Customer Mapping.
  • Demonstrated understanding of price and reimbursement landscape, processes, requirements in Brazil.
  • Proven track record of building effective customer networks from multi-disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of medical aspects of therapeutic area along with willingness to develop in-depth expertise.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional matrix.
  • An understanding of legal and regulatory issues impacting health economics labelling and promotional claims.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in relationship development, especially with payers across all levels.
  • Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications preferred.
  • Business Management, Scientific or Economics Degree (BSc, MSc, Ph.D., Pharm. D.) preferred.
  • Experience in CSL Vifor's therapeutic areas preferred.
