Sr. DevOps Engineer

Duties:

• As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our customer-facing web applications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure our systems scale effectively across diverse user personas and geographical locations.
• Pioneer and implement modern cloud service developments for our team.

Skills:

• 8+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, specializing in maintaining and troubleshooting production-level applications.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python for scripting and automation.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms; GCP is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Terraform and other HashiCorp tools.
• Strong proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and Configuration Management; familiarity with GitLab CI is preferred.
• Strong skills in Linux server administration and application maintenance, including debugging techniques with statistical and metric data.
• Security-focused mindset with expertise in cloud security technologies (e.g., Firewall, DDoS mitigation, Pen Testing, Authentication).
• Experience with monitoring and metrics systems such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB.
• Proficiency in virtualized and containerized environments, specifically Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Cassandra.
• Background in fast-paced startup environments with a strong emphasis on scalability and reliability.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs is preferred.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools and services (e.g., Puppeteer, Selenium, Cypress) is desirable.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices is desirable.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.

• $3,700 to $4,000 Usd dollars per month
