The team you will be a part of

The Digital Marketing team develops marketing, merchandising and creative strategies and affiliated programs to promote the organization's products and services through the Internet or other digital channels to increase exposure to and business from the target audience and analyzes their effectiveness. Develops and maintains website graphic designs and layout to support the organization's image, identity and brands. May be responsible for social media marketing and online community management. Maximizes the value of the product by creating and managing the product backlog. Creates user stories and prioritizes the work of the Development team. Communicates the voice of the customer in the Scrum process. Provides feedback on the validated roadmap to the Product Manager.

This role in summary

The Product Owner is responsible for the product delivery process and is accountable for maximizing the business value delivered in each sprint or product increment. The role is expected to collaborate with users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements aligned with the product vision of the Product Manager. The Product Owner engages with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders to enable the Development team to deliver the product from design to development.

Your responsibilities will include

In this position you will gather, organize, prioritize, and assess work for a product team to deliver value that meets our company’s vision. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the following areas:

  • Feel empowered to influence the strategic direction of the product and provide input to Epics as they are defined and analyzed
  • Take ownership of defining and prioritizing the work at the Product Team level and ensuring it is delivered successfully
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Ensure the entire team (dev and test) fully understands the scope before accepting a User Story as ready for development
  • Tell a story and tie scope at the team level to Initiatives and Building Blocks when presenting during refinement and demos
  • Actively identify and take ownership of Team level items in the RAIDD log
  • Be decisive in determining whether functionality is behaving as expected for User Story sign-off
  • Be a vocal leader and champion for the consumer at the Product Team level
  • Build a robust backlog of development ready work and constantly be preparing for the next PI
  • Manage, refine, and prioritize the backlog
  • Set sprint goals
  • Plan releases and upgrades
  • Analyze preferences and requests of end users
  • Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback
  • Keep track of industry trends
  • Establish a product vision that describes the purpose of a Product, why is the Product being created, and what it aims to achieve for customers and users

Minimum requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other related fields.
  • Solid experience in managing development teams and owning products for eCommerce
  • Strong experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO),Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or Certified SAFe Product Owner
  • Proven business experience and successful product ownership in eCommerce - specifically using AEM and SAP Commerce Cloud
  • Proven experience in working with large globally distributed teams
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Team spirit and good communication abilities
  • Good organizational skills
  • Familiarity with agile is a plus
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Ability to prioritize effectively based on value-driven delivery principles
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Proven ability to influence and deliver results through others
